There鈥檚 more than one way to become a 中出影院 undergraduate. The majority of our students are admitted directly, but 中出影院 also has a number of spots available to those who have started their studies at a different post-secondary institution.
If you are a Canadian post-secondary student and you听hope to transfer to 中出影院听next year, read on to learn more about the application process.
中出影院 has an听early application deadline听for those transferring from a Canadian post-secondary institution.
First, you鈥檒l need to apply by听December 1, 2024, and then听submit all your post-secondary transcripts听that show all completed courses and all in-progress courses by听January 31, 2025. If you complete these two steps, your application will receive an early assessment on these transcripts. If there are specific deadlines associated with your degree of choice, you will be notified once you have submitted your application.
If you attend a new institution that wasn鈥檛 included on your application, it鈥檚 important to听contact us听right away.
As a post-secondary student, you may be eligible for guaranteed admission to 中出影院鈥檚 Okanagan campus. You鈥檙e eligible for guaranteed admission to 中出影院 Okanagan鈥檚 Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Management, or Bachelor of Science if you have:
If you are placed on the waitlist based on this early assessment, there is no need to reapply. Your application will remain in our system and you will be notified of a final decision by June.
Remember, applying early doesn鈥檛 increase your chances of gaining admission, but it can mean your application will be considered earlier, and you鈥檒l receive an update about your admission status sooner 鈥� most likely between February and April.

It鈥檚 fantastic that so many of you are currently working on 测辞耻谤听 Starting early means you鈥檒l have time to reflect on your answers to the听: an important part of 中出影院鈥檚 admissions decision.
The personal profile asks you six or seven questions about challenges you have overcome, significant achievements in your life, your academic pursuits, and what you have learned from these experiences.听The questions differ depending on the degree program you are applying for, and you鈥檒l find out what you鈥檒l be asked when you begin your application.
Not all applicants are required to submit a personal profile, and others will have additional requirements, such as portfolios or auditions. To find out if 测辞耻谤听degree requires a personal profile,听start the online application process听and follow the instructions.
When we evaluate your application, two trained 中出影院 readers will听look for four qualities in your personal profile: engagement and accomplishment, leadership, substance, and voice. This is a chance for us to find out more about you and your experiences beyond academics. We want to hear about your life and achievements 鈥� what have you learned, and how have these moments allowed you to grow?
We are not looking for a particular experience, and there are no right or wrong answers. Be authentic, and focus on what you want to say about yourself and how you want to say it, rather than writing what you think we want to hear.
If you are applying to the 中出影院 Sauder School of Business鈥檚 Bachelor of Commerce degree, you will be asked to provide听 in addition to your personal profile. You will be prompted to create your video responses within your application, including detailed instructions on how to include the video interview in the personal profile section of your application. We know that disruptions can arise that may affect your access to extracurricular activities at school or in your community. We will be as flexible as possible to ensure that your personal profile is not disadvantaged by disruptions caused by things outside of your control.
Remember that when we assess your personal profile, we take into account all of the activities you鈥檝e done across multiple years, not just the ones you hoped to complete in Grade 11 or 12. Your examples can come from any aspect of your life, including within your family or smaller community. There are no right or wrong answers 鈥� we鈥檙e not looking for certain activities or a long list of achievements, but rather your reflections on what you鈥檝e experienced.

A common question we鈥檙e asked here at 中出影院 is about the difference between a degree and a program. What鈥檚 a program? What鈥檚 a degree? And why is it important to tell them apart when you鈥檙e deciding what to study?
At 中出影院, your degree refers to the level and type of study you will complete during university (e.g., Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science). It鈥檚 the designation you鈥檒l earn at graduation.
A program refers to the subject you choose to specialize in (e.g., your major in Anthropology or Biology). It鈥檚 your area of focus within your degree. For most degrees, you don鈥檛 have to commit to a program until your second or third year of study.
For example, if you study in the History program, you鈥檒l earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. If you study in the Civil Engineering program, you鈥檒l earn a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.

The online application allows you to select two degrees (a first and second choice), which can be on different campuses and in different faculties.
When you fill in the online application, you鈥檒l enter those degree choices in the Program Selection tab. Enter your first-choice degree in the 鈥淔irst Program Choice鈥� field and enter your second-choice degree in the 鈥淪econd Program Choice鈥� field.
If you鈥檙e applying to听中出影院’s Sauder School of Business鈥檚 Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program, 测辞耻谤听听will include a video interview section. You鈥檒l be asked to provide on-camera responses to two pre-recorded questions. We鈥檝e created these tips to help you prepare for, and create, a strong video. Read on for more information!
In the BCom program, collaboration, in-class discussion, and public speaking are daily activities. Your ability to listen to others and to communicate your thoughts and ideas clearly are essential to your success, and, in many cases, the success of your team during group work.
If you鈥檙e intimidated by the thought of speaking on camera, don鈥檛 worry. The questions will relate to your personal experiences and opinions, so there are no wrong answers.听In fact, the video interview is a great opportunity for you to showcase how you can think critically, perform under pressure, and stand out from other applicants.

Please keep in mind that you鈥檒l only have听one attempt听to respond to each question.听Once you鈥檝e started to view a question,听you听won鈥檛 be able to pause or replay it. You鈥檒l be given 30 seconds to think about your answer, and up to 90 seconds to record it. You can review your video submission after answering each question, to ensure no technical errors occurred and that your answers were successfully uploaded but re-recording is not permitted.
Every aspiring high school student听applying to 中出影院听(and some听transfer applicants听too) must submit a personal profile as part of their听online application. It鈥檚 a chance for you to tell the university about your life and accomplishments: What have they taught you about yourself and the world around you?

As part of your personal profile, you will need to include two references. These should be people who know you well and can comment on your preparedness to study at 中出影院. A reference can be an employer, a community member, a coach, a teacher/instructor, or anyone who knows you well. For applicants who are currently attending high school, one of your referees must be a school official (e.g., Grade 12 or senior year counsellor, teacher, or IB coordinator). References should not be a friend, family member, or paid agent. You do not need to include written references in your application, just the contact information of your references so that our admissions team can contact them.
