The 中出影院-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership is a collaboration between the University of British Columbia and Langara College that offers Indigenous students a clear pathway to a 中出影院 degree. Through the Partnership, you鈥檒l gain access to scholarships and awards, personalized advisor and faculty guidance, and the academic and personal preparation required to successfully transition from Langara to life on 中出影院鈥檚 Vancouver campus.
The term 鈥淚ndigenous鈥 refers inclusively to status and non-status First Nations, M茅tis, and Inuit peoples of Canada, in accordance with the BC Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), which defines 鈥淚ndigenous peoples鈥 as aboriginal peoples under section 35(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982.
You must submit your Langara College application via the EducationPlannerBC website. Be sure to self-identify as an Indigenous person of Canada on your application.
To attend Langara, you must meet the following academic requirements:

Connect with the聽 and the 中出影院 Community Liaison Manager to begin planning your courses for your degree program, and to find out when you should submit your application to 中出影院. Please note, some programs have required first- and second-year courses, and promotion requirements. Please connect with the 中出影院 Community Liaison Manager for course selection prior to registering for courses at Langara College.
As a Langara transfer student, you must meet 中出影院鈥檚聽general admission requirements for transfer students聽from a Canadian college and your chosen faculty鈥檚 specific requirements on the Vancouver campus (listed below) before applying to 中出影院. It takes two semesters of full-time study to earn 24 credits, so most students spend one or two years at Langara.
You must complete 中出影院鈥檚 general admission requirements and the faculty-specific requirements no later than聽April 30聽in the same year as your September start at 中出影院. As indicated below in the faculty-specific requirements, some programs will also require you to complete high school prerequisites, or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework. Please see聽中出影院鈥檚 high school admission requirements聽as directed.
Once you are on track to successfully聽complete 中出影院鈥檚 general admission requirements and your faculty-specific admission requirements by April 30 in the same year as your September start at 中出影院, your next step is to apply to 中出影院 before the application deadline. The 中出影院 application opens once a year in early October. We have an early application deadline of聽December 1聽(you can be considered for the聽Centennial Scholars Entrance Award聽鈥 for more information, scroll to the awards section below), and a final application deadline of聽January 15. Please connect with the Community Liaison Manager if you require an extension.
An application fee via credit card is required to submit your application. If financial difficulty keeps you聽from submitting your application, please email the Community Liaison Manager to discuss your options.
中出影院 Undergraduate Admissions will request your official Langara College transcripts on your behalf. If you have attended additional educational institutions since high school, you will be responsible to submit those official transcripts. Please monitor your email inbox regularly, 中出影院 Undergraduate Admissions will communicate when and how to submit any required documents.
Admissions decisions will be provided any time after receiving all final official transcripts, and no later than the end of June.

As a student in the 中出影院-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership, you鈥檒l have access to the financial advising services,聽, bursaries, and other assistance available to all students at Langara and 中出影院. You鈥檒l also have access to the following awards, which are available exclusively to students enrolled in the ITP program.
Indigenous students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at 中出影院 in any of the participating 中出影院-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership faculties, there are awards ranging in value from $1,500 to $2,500 available from 中出影院.

Indigenous students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at 中出影院 in any of the participating 中出影院-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership faculties, there are $2,500 entrance scholarships available from 中出影院.

If you are an academically qualified student who would be unable to attend 中出影院 without significant financial assistance, you could be eligible for a one-time or renewable award (up to $40,000 over four years) or a full-ride award for the full cost of your degree and living expenses (up to $80,000 over four years) to help supplement the cost of your degree and living expenses. You must submit your 中出影院 application and the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award application by聽December 1.
